I have lived in Halton Hills my entire life and in Acton for the past 17 years. Three years ago, I  became the Downtown Acton BIA (Business Improvement Area) Coordinator. You may have even seen me watering our flowers downtown or at the many events run throughout our community. As the BIA Coordinator, I organized and ran the Acton Leathertown Festival, our weekly Farmers’ Market, and have helped decorate our town throughout the year.

I have worked with many volunteer organizations over the years. I am currently the President-Elect of the Optimist Club of Halton Hills, Rector’s Warden with St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, on the Communications & Information Resource Committee with the Anglican Church of Canada, and a Board Member with Acton Food Share, among other things.

Due to my position with the Acton Downtown BIA, many residents within our community would come to me with questions about our local government and looking for resources, especially during the challenging past two years.  I worked to support them as best I could within my role.

I am honoured to be elected as one of your municipal councilors in Ward 1. I look forward to continuing to support the people of our community on a greater scale with issues related to traffic safety, recreational services for families and seniors, sustainable growth, snow removal, parking, zoning, facade/renovations, building permits as well as connecting residents and small businesses to federal, provincial and municipal supports.

I am excited to be joining the local tradition set by both MPP Ted Arnott and Mayor Rick Bonnette who were both first elected in their late twenties. I am so privileged to serve Acton thus far and look forward to doing more for our community going forward. Join me in making that happen.
